Rooster Town

This collection includes photographs, documents, and maps related to the history of The Rooster Town Métis community, which endured from 1901 to 1961 on the outskirts of southwest Winnipeg. The collection is based on materials from Rooster Town: The History of an Urban Métis Community, 1901–1961, by Evelyn Peters, Matthew Stock, and Adrian Werner (University of Manitoba Press, 2018).
