Description
A black and white negative of a Gay Pride March in downtown Winnipeg. At an intersection, marchers are holding signs of various sizes and with different slogans written on them. The Gay Pride March was held during the second National Gay Conference, hosted by Gays for Equality from August 31 to September 2, 1974. The conference was considered to be successful in its aim of providing a more coherent definition of the gay movement in Canada, and allowing individuals from across the country and abroad an opportunity to gather together in an expression of solidarity.
