Description
A colour photograph of a demonstration at the Canadian Human Rights Commission office. The demonstration was held to protest the lack of pressure on the Federal government by the Commission to amend the Human Rights Code to prohibit discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation. This sit-in was led by Ken Steffanson, Ken Boyce, David Shoemaker and Chuck Williams. The photograph is of Ken Boyce, David Shoemaker and Chuck Williams standing in the entranceway to the Canadian Human Rights Commission holding signs over their faces. Ken Boyce is holding a sign that reads "My Closet in my Office is Full Enough!" David Shoemaker and Chuck Williams are holding a sign that reads "If We Show Our Faces We Could Lose Our Jobs."
