Chris Vogal was a founding member of the Council on Homosexuality and Religion, an an active member in Gays for Equality, the Oscar Wilde Memorial Society and the Winnipeg Gay Media Collective. Chris Vogal, along with his partner, Richard North, were the first same-sex couple to be married in Manitoba.
