Description
A theater program by The Winnipeg Little Theater of the 1954-1955 Season offering four productions. "The Apple Cart" by George Bernard Shaw and directed by Peggy Green was performed on October 8-9, "I Remember Mama" by John Van Druten and directed by Sid Perlmutter was performed on December 10-11, "The Heiress" by Ruth and Augusta Goetz and directed by Wil S. Dickson, and "The Inspector General" by Gogol and directed by Tom Hendry was performed on April 15-16., The Little Theatre Movement or la petite scène, has now become a generic term for the amateur or nonprofessional, "community" theatre in Canada. Originally, however, it referred to an international reform movement protesting against the crass, mass-produced, professional fare seen around the turn of the century.
