CAMERON HENRY Cameron Henry, born in 1944, eldest child of Stan and Jean Henry, took his early education in Oak River and went on to obtain his 8.5. of A. at University of Manitoba. Upon completion of his degree he taught agriculture courses during the winters of 69-73 for the Dep't. of Agriculture at Sandy Lake, Steinbach, Brandon, Miniota, and Oak Lake. However, his only real interest was farming and with the winter cleaning of seed grain and involvement in community life, his time was soon completely occupied. In 1969 he married Denise De Pauw, Brandon and area Home Economist, formerly of Treherne, who was soon made to feel a part of the community. Our son, Scott, was born in 1971 followed by daughter, Marnie in 1975. After living in a mobile home for eight years, we moved in 1978 into the old family home, built by Cameron's grandfather in 1909. This is the third generation of Henry children to grow up in this house. I'm sure the walls have tales to tell! ! While still farming with his father, who is in semi-retirement since the writing of the last history, Cam has assumed responsibility for the daily farm operations. 228
