artist. They reside at 7 Robertson Crescent, where Warren is still active in the electrical trade.


Vernon Lyle, only son of Orville and Bernice Davidson, was born in August of 1953. Vern attended school in Oak River and Rivers. He attended Assiniboine Community College to take his Heavy Duty Mechanics. He worked at H. E. Wright's and Brandon Chrysler Dodge as a mechanic.

Through his school years, Vern took an active part in hockey, baseball, was a member of the 4—H Beef Club and ; Wolf Cubs. He is now a member of the Oak River and Area f Lions Club and a sales agent for Smith-Roles Ltd.

3 On November 17, 1972, Vern and Anne were married in Medora United Church.

Anne Marie, third daughter of Howard and Edna Sambrook of Medora, was born in October of 1952. Anne attended school in Medora and Deloraine and continued on to Wheat City Business College to attain her Secretary diploma. She worked for two years at the Brandon Land Titles Office.

Vern and Anne moved to Oak River to the family farm in March of 1973. A mobile home was established in the yardsite which is located on the SE of 30-13-21.

Vern owned and operated a trucking business from 1975 to 1979, travelling to many places in the United States and Canada. Vern's parents moved to Rivers in December of 1979. A move for Anne, Vern and boys was made into the two and one-half story house which Vern's grandfather, John Davidson, built in 1923. A highlight and memorable evening for us was in November 1981 when a Century Farm Banquet was held in Oak River. Anne and Vern received a Century Farm Gate sign and Certificate as great grand-father, Thomas Davidson, homesteaded the SE of 30-13-21 W in 1882.

Vern and Anne have a family of two sons. Donald Lyle, E born in Hamiota on April 18, 1973, is in Grade 5. Donald is an avid artist and loves reading. He has been a Wolf Cub for three years and enioys power skating and baseball.

Dallas Robert, was born in Hamiota on April 27, 1976, and is in Grade 2. Dallas is a great outdoors person and takes an interest in hockey and baseball. He has competed as soloist in the Music Festival for two years.
