DAN EISLER FAMILY Dan Eisler and his wife, the former Carolyn Mikel of Perth County, Ontario, moved from Sinclair, Manitoba to the Botany District in 1905. They farmed section 11—7-22. Dan Eisler was a big man weighing about350 pounds. They had a family of seven children - John, Fred, Teenie, Carolyn, Lizzie, Martha and Gertrude. In 1929 they moved to the Souris District where they farmed until his death in 1948. John farmed in the Lily District from 1925 to 1957. He married Nellie Badiuk of Ukraina, Manitoba. He died in 1973. Fred married Vera Cook of Elgin and they farmed in the Millarway and Breezelawn Districts. Later they moved to Souris where Fred operated Eisler’s Construction Company. Fred passed away in March 1987. Teenie and Carolyn went to the Botany School and they moved to Ontario around 1925. Lizzie married Gustave Wilde and they farmed on section 14—7-22.
