They farmed in the Ladysmith district until 1970 and celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary in the Orange Hall in Lavenham. They are both buried in the cemetery at Rossendale. Tommy, Matilda-Seated: Tom and Laura Victor (1917-1987) served in the R.C.A.F. during WW II. He married Edna McCulloch and their children were Doug, Lillian and Bonnie. They lived at Elm Creek. Albert Clarence (1919-1920). 610 Clarence Albert served during WW II and was a prisoner of war in Germany. He married Lillian Jackson. They live at Treherne and farm the home farm at Ladysmith. Their sons are Mervin and Garth. Garth has supplied material for the Woodward and Rands histories. Florence married Earl Harland. Their son is Donald. Robert married Edith Purkess **. They live in Winnipeg. Their children are Brian. Gary. Audrey. Ronald and Grant. Gary farms at Ladysmith. Rosetta married Stan Catte. Their children are Wayne, Darrell and Murray. Ernest married Myrtle Smith. Ernest served with the Canadian Armed Forces in Europe. He now farms at Ladysmith. Ernest and Myrtle have two sons. Dr. Larry and Lyle. Gerald married Nona Reimer. They live at Elm Creek and have three children, Jeffrey, Devon and Glori-Ann. . Laura Woodward (1889—1990) married Sam Henry **. Laura died at the age of one hundred and one years. Her mother died in 1958 at the age of one hundred and four years. . Charles Woodward (1890—1965) was born at Raeburn. MB and served overseas during WW I. Though seriously wounded, Charlie recovered and returned to Canada. In 1922 he married Eva (Henry **) Ross. They farmed in the Rossendale-Lavenham districts and retired to Portage in 1963. Eva died in 1992. She and Charlie are buried at Rossendale. Eva’s first husband Joe Ross (1892-1918) died during the flu epidemic. He and Eva had two children. Eva and Charlie had ten children; Elva Ross married Howard Keast and they lived at Westbourne. Howard died in 1993. Elva lives in Portage. Elva and Howard had three children, Gary, Judy (married Wayne Thurston) and Donald. Ehner Ross served in the Canadian Army during WW II. In 1940 he married Helen Adams. They lived at Woodstock, Ontario and had four children, Kenneth, Ronald, Margaret and Joseph. Helen died in 1990 and Elmer married Thelma Johnston in 1995. Kivil Charles Woodward (19214944) was killed on September 18. 1944 while serving with the Royal Canadian Regiment during WWII. Kivit is buried in the Coriano Ridge War Cemetery in Italy. Woodward Lake in Northern Manitoba is named in his memory.
