James (Jim) Scott married Elsie McIntyre **; they farm in the Forestville district and have three children, Kimberly Dawn, Scott Wilson and Angela Marie.

Kenneth (Ken) Boyd married Lori Hulme ** of MacGregor; they have a son Keaton Mitchell.

Elizabeth Betty Jean the youngest of James and Elizabeths five children, went to the Forestville and Sidney schools. She then worked in Winnipeg at the University of Manitoba. On October 21, 1948 Betty married Norman Cummings of Inchkeut, SK. They moved from Sidney to Virden. Betty had worked at Dankesreiter’s store in Sidney and at Adam’s Solo Store in Virden. When Norman was transferred to Red Deer, AB in 1963, the family, including their daughter Beverly Jean, moved to Red Deer, where they still live. Beverly Jean married Chris Vodicka and they have two children, Michael and Melissa.

2. Orville Ellsworth (1893-1948) the second son of

Matthew and Rachel was born at Milbrook, Ontario. Orville married Mina Routley ** (1898-1967) of Sidney. They raised five children; Kenneth died in 1921 at five days old.

Thomas Ellswood was born November 21, 1922 and died March 10, 1977. Tom married Violet Carruthers **, on December 3, 1945. He spent his life in the R.C.A.F. following WW 11. Tom and Violet had two children;

Linda Joan married Stanley Bruce Steele; they have three children, Angela Christine, Dania] Scott and Dawn Michelle.

Teresa Brooke married James Cannon. They have a son Jeffery.

Walter Matthew was born January 16, 1925 and is now deceased. He married Agnes Morrison on August 18, 1945. They had four children, Patricia, Sandra, Allen and William.

Gerald Alfred (March 7, 1927-1995). He married Myrna Moffatt on August 21, 1954. They had six children, Deborah, Shirley, Kenneth, Bradley, Sharon and Kilso.

Keith Oliver Blaine was born February, 1929 and married Florence Deabold on April 10, 1953. They have three children, Stanley, Colleen and Patti.

Shirley Vernice was born September 26, 1930, the only daughter. She married Alexander Sinclair on August 22, 1953. They live in Winnipeg and have a son, Scott.

. Frederick O’Hara was born October 18, 1896 at

Milbrook, Ontario and started school at

Hazelgrove, near Wellwood before coming to

Sidney with his parents. He then attended the

Sidney school. Fred served in the Canadian Army

during WW I.

On January 8, 1919 Fred married Alice Catherine Powell, the Forestville school teacher. They farmed the home place all through the years and raised seven children;

Kathleen Elaine married Lyle (Bud) Ruth **.

Clara Ann was born September 26, 1922, attended the Forestville and Sidney schools and on October 4, 1941 married Duncan Hay **.

Doris Bernice was born September 21, 1924 and married John Graham Rasmussen on September 21, 1943 while he was in the R.C.A.F. On discharge they farmed briefly but John then joined the Canadian Army and served until retirement at Vancouver. Doris died October 6, 1989. She and John had a son Chris now living with his wife Debbie and two girls, Nadeen and Gillian, in Victoria.

Edith Grace was born November 14, 1926 at home. She went to school at Sidney and married Frank Murray Reynolds on October 27, 1945. They farmed in the Petrel district north of Carberry until early retirement. Edith and Frank have a son Murray Charles who with his wife Janine and her son Max. live in Wimiipeg.

Jean Freda was born October 20, 1928. She took a business course in Regina and worked for Lye’s in MacGregor. She moved to Victoria, BC. and then worked in Vancouver where she now lives in retirement.

Joan Margaret is the sixth of Fred and Alice’s family. She was born January 6, 1932. She took a secretarial course in Brandon and then worked in Portage. Joan married Melvin Calvert of the Melbourne district July 14, 1951. They farmed at Melbourne and retired to Brandon. They had five children, Robert O’Hara, Larry Stewart (died accidentally in 1974), Catherine Ellen, Ross Wright (who died in 1962) and Leo Melvin.

Marjorie Alice the youngest of Fred and Alice’s seven children, was born November 13, 1937. She worked in Winnipeg before marrying Harold Calvert on July 9, 1955. They had two daughters Shannon Irene and Cheryl Alice. Shannon and her husband Terry and two sons live in Victoria; Cheryl, her husband and sons live in Calgary. Marjorie lives in Victoria.

. Reginald Randolph was born at Wellwood on

December 20, 1899. He went to the Sidney school and married Kathleen Collier **, on October 4, 1922. Reg became Manager of the Bank of Montreal at Austin and then served at other towns in the west such as Whitewood and Kamsack. He and Kathleen had three daughters, Muriel Elaine (living in Edmonton), Mildred Pauline (living in Prince Albert) and Beverly Anne (living in Calgary). Reg and Kathleen are deceased.
