Jim, the other child, was born October 29, 1954. In 1984, he married Roberta Berry of Vernon, BC. They have three children: Matthew, Chelsea, and Emily. Jim is employed with the Saskatchewan Pool Elevators in Regina. We are still farming at this time, but we sold our cattle in the fall of 1994, when we decided to retire in Russell for the winter. Alyce (Ferris) Johnston I was born on December 1, 1928 at NW 20—23-29. A few years later my parents moved to SE 33-23-29 in the Grainsby District. I received my education at the Grainsby School and finished my education in Russell. I was employed at the Roblin Hospital and the Roblin Creamery before moving to Brandon in 1952 where I was employed by Canada Safeway for 33 years and retired in 1988. Alyce and Jim Johnson. I married Jim Johnston of Brandon on May 10, 1957. He was employed with the CPR. In 1961 Jim secured employment at Brandon Correctional Institution retiring in 1985. Jim was a widower with a family of four children: Amy, Brenda and twins Kent and Kandy. Jack loved to dance in his younger years and was a member of the Roblin Elks Lodge. He passed away at his home and was laid to rest in the Dropmore Cemetery in 1975. .” 191%“) W. Watt, Bill and Jack Ferris. "Watt Ferris Watt was born on November 3, 1900. He farmed the SW—1/434-23-29, the original Ferris farm. In the thirties, he and his brother Jack, took their cattle to Dauphin for a couple of years where feed was more plentiful. The rest of his life was spent on the farm at Dropmore. John Flynn made his home, and worked for Watt for a number of years, until he passed away and was buried at Moosimen, his original home. In Watt's younger years, he played football and later curled. he belonged to the Russell Elks Lodge for a number of years. Watt passed away in 1968 and was laid to rest in the Dropmore Cemetery. Hugh Ferris "Jack Ferris Jack Ferris was born on September 30, 1897. He farmed and then ranched in the Assiniboine Valley. He also owned his own transfer business for a number years. He had to leave his home in the valley when the Shellmouth Dam was put in and the valley was flooded. Then he retired in Roblin where he enjoyed his friends' company and his birthday parties.
