Kirk worked for Manitoba Hydro as a journeyman lineman for 15 years before moving into the purchasing department as a research analyst He manied Debbie Miller. They have two girls: Sarah - 9 and Courtney - 6.

Heather worked at the Health Science Centre as an X-ray technologist for three years. She moved to Toronto, ON. She worked at different jobs, and is presently working at Toronto Harbourfront Centre. She’ s happily involved with the man in her life, David Manion. He works for the CBC. I still live on Strathcona St. I enjoy sewing, gardening, and do alot of crafts, mostly dolls.

Mervin and Joan Dietrich

Mervin Heinrich Dietrich was born on October 26, 1930 in Dropmore on Section 14-23- 29. Mervin lived and farmed with his parents in the Dropmore area for 28 years. On August 6, 1954 he married Joan Barbara Ann Mitschke (July 12, 1938), of Marchwell, SK. They continued to farm until 1958 when Mervin and Joan moved to Chilliwack, BC. They enjoyed many happy years of maniage. After Joan’ 3 death on October 6, 1994, Mervin continues to live in Yarrow, BC. He greatly enjoys his grandsons and being close to his children.

Brian Mervin was born on June, 20, 1955. He married Penny Lynne Preston on April 26, 1986. They have two sons, Logan born on February 12, 1991 and Conner born on July 18, 1993. Brian is a driller and restores cars. They reside in Yarrow, BC.

Bonnie Joan was born on March 6, 1958. She married Jim Henry Block on May 9, 1979. They have one son Derrick, born May 29, 1981. They now live in Revelstoke, BC.

Perry Mitchell was born on January 3, 1960. Perry owns a furniture store called Dietrich’ s Oak Gallery in Chilliwack, BC, where he also resides.

Paul Adam Dietrich was born on April 11, 1926 in MacNutt, SK. His parents, Henry Dietrich and Margaretha Kitsch were married on July 10, 1917. They farmed in the Homeland School District by MacNutt, SK. In 1930 they moved to the Dropmore area and continued to farm. Their family is Elsie (Adam), George, Jacob, Clara (Ziebart), Paul, Harold, Mervin, Milfred. Paul attended the Dropmore School. In 1944 he enlisted in the Army.

Pauline Elizabeth Zimmer was born on July 21, 1926 in Grayson, Sask. My parents were Appolonia Exner and Joseph Zimmer in Bukovina, Austria. My family is Anton, John, Joseph, Julia (Rieger), Frank, Katie (Dietrich), Philip, Mary (Bernhard). In 1928, the family moved to Grenfell, SK and farmed here for 10 years. Because of the drought, grasshoppers and poor crops, we moved to Shoal Lake, MB, and then to Strathclair where we continued to farm for ten years. In 1944, our Mother died of a stroke. My
