The Tony Chwaluk Family. We, Tony and Mae, will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this July 1. We have worked hard and accomplished a lot. So far we have given our children all the education possible. We became big farmers. Machin- ery is all on big tires; hydro is used wherever possible. Wonder what we would do without it now? We are strong Manitoba Farmers' Union members, belong to the Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church and several other organizations, helping out in our community whenever possible. Rose, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Chwaluk, married Frank Manu- liak in 1946. He ran the Cockshut agency in Oakburn for a few years before moving to Winnipeg where they ran a grocery store. They have four children, Reggie, Larry, Murray and Gail. In 1958 Frank drowned while fishing near Lac du Bonnet, leaving his wife with four small children, the eldest 12, and the youngest five. Reggie and Larry are now working. Murray is in grade twelve and Gail is in grade eleven. The grandparents gave Rose a lot of help with the children when they were smaller. They spent most of their vacations on the farm at Menzie. — Contributed by Mrs. Mae Chwaluk 272
