Mary was a loyal and faithful church worker who took a keen interest in educational and community activities. Mrs. Bere was missed in the spheres in which she served after her passing on May 28. 1944. Frank and Angele Berezay Frank and Angele Berezay were married January 19, 1908 on the Island of Jersey of France. They came to Canada along with their friends the Baudics and Quintaines in 1908 to Oshawa, Ontario. Their son Frank was born October 25, 1908. They came to Mather in 1910 to the farm of Robert Solton. Madelaine Marie was born August 17, 1912. Around 1914 they moved east of Mather to Hugh McLeod Sr. ’s farm. About 1920 they bought the family farm from Mr. Robert Taylor. On September 8, 1924, Norman was born. The elder son, Frank, died in 1925. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Berezay, Frank and Madeline. Frank Sr. was active in the community. He was a school trustee for twenty-five years and councillor for many years also. He farmed until 1948 when he was accidentally killed. Madelaine Berezay married James Baldock in 121 1938. They bought Robert Gordon’s farm and later moved to British Columbia where they now live in Nanaimo. Their daughter, Gail, lives in Port Alberni, BC. and son, Murray, in Nanaimo, BC. Norman continued farming, and he married Mabel Jeanette Carter of Winnipeg in 1950. Their first son, Gordon was born October 27, 1951, Carter on February 10, 1953, and daughter Judy, on Febru- ary 13, 1957. Mrs. Berezay Sr. moved to British Columbia in 1950 and lived there until her death in 1962. The Berezays. Gordon, Norman, Mabel, Judy and Carter. Gordon married Dianne Rudd of Winnipeg in 1977 and they moved to Vancouver, BC. to live. Carter married Judy Odlum of Clearwater in 1977 and they now live in Winnipeg. Mabel Berezay passed away in 1978. Judy now lives in Winnipeg too, while Norman remains on the farm. Charles Bisbee Family My father Charles and mother Ida May (Suther- land) came to Canada from Hansboro, North Dakota about 1914. All of us children were born at Hansboro; Charlie, Don, Americus (called Mark), Hugh and 1, Belle. We lived on the Carter place and raised a large herd of milk cows. We rowed across to Avery’s at least once a day to sell the cream. Of course Averys made their own ice cream in those days! We all went to Rock Lake School except Charlie. My parents also raised Gerty Sutherland and Myles and Roderick Sutherland, and they attended Rock Lake School. We moved around alot, wherever we could get good pastures and feed for the cows. My brothers worked around as soon as they were able to drive a team. Charlie, the oldest, worked for old Mr. Pog- son. We lived on the Joe Lawrence place. In 1921 we went to Crystal River School.
