Avenue, known as a Roco Gas Station. It was moved (name) to its present location at 1869 Logan Avenue. According to a letter sent to local businesses January 31st. 1944 the location on Keewatin was named Mableys Garage. (Ref: 1943 Public Notice site listing)

Honey Dew Restaurant

Located at corner of Alexander Avenue and Keewatin Street. (North East corner) Demolished and a 7 Eleven Store built. Presently vacant.

Jenkins’ Garage

This Gas Station at 1787 Logan Avenue and its buildings are long gone. This was situated where today’s Weston Gospel Church parking lot is today.

Keewatin Fuel

Louis Small started this business in the early 1920’s. Located on the Northwest corner of Keewatin Street and Alexander Avenue it consisted of a small green building with piles of wood and coal along Alexander Avenue and the back lane up to the Barber Shop. Mr. Small used a horse drawn wooden wheeled wagon to make his deliveries around the area. The property later became known as Feduks Wood Yard.

Kell’s Jewellery

In 1949 this store located opposite Stoffmans on Logan Avenue was part of the large grouping of businesses near the corner of Keewatin Street and Logan Avenue.

Kowals Store

Located at 1873 Ross Avenue. (ref: 1943 Public Notice site listing ) This is now an empty Lot next to the railway tracks. Metro Kowal built the store in the 1920’s, when he moved to Brooklands from the Northend of Winnipeg, and was operated and owned by Metro for approximately 35 years, where he sold off on his retirement to a person named Morris Stitz. This new owner ran the store for a few years before
