moved from this farm to another out of the area and then moved to Roseisle where they died. Both are buried in Roseisle. Early records show that ]no. Francis Marcom owned the NE. 1/1 in 1897 but do not state if he lived on it. It is known that an Englishman Mr. Moore lived on the NE. 1/4 where he had a store and the post office. His family was Joe. Ellen, Billy, and Annie, Billy was a Storekeeper at Roseisle later. The family moved out of the municipality into Dufferin‘ Chris Rivett moved to this quarter after the Moores. He is listed as the owner in 1909. His family consisted of three boys —— Bobby who died a victim of scarlet fever. Boy who lost a leg in an accident at a picnic at Roseisle. He later barbered at Altamont. Walter was the youngest boy. Mr. Rivett died while they were on the farm. Mrs. Rivett sold to Bob Harpell from south of Miami. By 1922 (records) we find Fred Louth owning this quarter, Alter his marriage he lived there with his wife until 1952. Mrs. Louth was very fond of animals and after her death in 1952 Fred remained for a few years. Ilc now makes his home with his half brother in Drayton City. Alberta. The Ginter family live on this land now. The BOB KEITH family came around 1900 from Ontario. Mrs. Keith was Maggie McKennitt. They settled on the NW. 5-21 with two boys, Fred and Lloyd and a daughter Jennie Belle who died in 1927. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Keith are both buried in Roseisle. Fred married Betty Ritchie and they lived on the home place until Fred’s death in 1957. They had three children, all attended school in Roseisle. Joan (Mrs. Aikens) Douglas and Murray. Mrs. Betty Keith now makes her home in Winnipeg. Fred was buried in Roseisle. Lloyd married Muriel Griffith and later Mrs. Watson. He moved into the Dufferin Municipality where he lived until his death in 1964. The S.E. M1 was occupied by John Begg as was stated elsewhere. He was followed by Jack Emms and Fred Green who lived on the quarter for a short time. Arch McIntyre lived on it when Glen Coleman bought it‘ Mr. McIntyre went to Carman when he left. We have no mention of any one ever living on the S.W. quarter from memories or records. IOHN GINTER bought the Louth land in the 1950’s. He and his wife came from the Crystal City area. Their family has grown and live out of the area. Mr. and Mrs. Ginter live on the farm. PETE DERKSEN moved his family to the 6-7 area in 1931 from south of Miami (history given in another section of the book)- Henry took the farm over from his father in 1956. He had worked for the ONE- prior to this. He married Elsie Geswein from Sperling and they have [Our children; Earl, Dennis, Brenda and Murray.
