MR. AND MRS. GEORGE ROBERTSON George and Annie Robertson were married in 1929. They lived at Moosomin, Sask., originally. After having spent the winter of 1940-41 in Vancouver, they arrived at Oak River in March during a blizzard, spent the winter of 1943-44 in Vancouver, returning to Oak River in the spring to the John Sparrow farm, residing in the S.W, of 22-14-22 until they sold out in 1963 and retired to Hamiota. The Robertson’s had three Children, all born before they came to Blanshard Municipality. Left to rlgm: Allan, Donald; Ethel (hrlde), Mrs. and Mr‘ George Robertson. Their eldest daughter, Ethel, married Doug Lawson in 1952. She has two children, Gordon born 1953, and Marilyn born 1956. Ethel was born in 1930; she and her husband live in Brandon, Man. Their first son Donald was born in 1935. He married Frances Borright in 1960. He has three children, Linda born in 1961, Lori- Ann born in 1964, and Scott in 1966. Allan, their youngest son was born in 1939. He married Lorna Caldwell of Hamiota in 1962. They have three children, Kimberly, born in 1963, Jeffrey, born in 1965, and Randy, born in 1966. They reside in Hamiota. Allan is presently principal of Hamiota Collegiate. FAMILY HISTORY OF GEORGE RO'I'HNIE Born — 1885. Came to Blanshard — March 1926. Died — December, 1960. George Rothnie was born at Banffshire, Scotland. He came to the Shoal Lake district and worked for Fred Stevenson, then for John Killoh. He also worked a farm for A. D. McConnell and lived there, 491
