Their family consists of one daughter, Lynne Adele, and one son Lee. Lynne spent her childhood years on the farm, receiving her elementary education at McConnell, and her high school at Hamimm Later she attended St. Michael’s Academy at Brandon, Man. where she took a Commercial course. The farm, Section 30—14—22 in the Blanshard Municipality, was purchased by George’s grandfather, Iames Theodore Pollock, in 1919 from Alex Smith of the Scotia district. Following the World War of 1914 to 1918, Bill Pollock, George’s uncle, took over this farm until the time of I. T. Pollock’s death in 1940, at which time the land was divided between Andrew Pollock and Hubert Pollock, sons of T. Andrew received the west half and Hubert the east half. Prior to the Pollocks taking over this farm, people such as: Alex Smith better known as Sandy, Alex and Willie Catto and the Kreagers lived there. However, Sandy never got married or lived on the farm, so in 1915 Smiths hired a couple by the name of Kreager, (Mr. and Mrs. Iack Kreager), who were the first people to live on the farm. They stayed for two years, until 1917, and their son Nelson was the first person born on the farm. They were followed by a Mr. and Mrs. William Catto, who lived on it until it was once more sold. Alex Smith bought it in 1911 and sold it in 1919.
