* Although I don't know when Elsie's great grandfather on her mother's mother's side, JACOB NEUFEED, was born, it's quite possible he was born in TiegerWeidc for his father (good pOBP sibility he.was:also a Jacob) was buried in Tiogerweide cemetery and several grandchildren remember his gravestone as being the largest there. He may however have been born in Rosen- ort for the Neufelds lived there a long time} For a number of years Jacob was a grain buyer for Johann cornice in Berdjansk. He married ELIZABETH RIEDIGER (one person says Regier) in about 1840-50. Elizabeth died in Ohrloff in 1938.

Elizabeth‘s father, ? RIEDIGER, was a very good friend of Jacob Abraham Doerksen of Eben» feld who was Johann Cornies' secretary and wall-to—do grain buyer. Riediger worked in the same plant. Both young men fell in love with Elizabeth's mother, ELIZABETH EPP (Nov.24, ap— prox. 1820-25 to Fob.4, 1912-«one person says 1908--Ebenfeld), daughter of PETER EPP (one person says Hermann), who came from Prussia and may havs been a minister, even abishop(el~ der). Jacob Doerksen withdrew from the love triangle and Riediger, also wall—off, married Elizabeth EDP. They had two children: Elizabeth and Katherine. Ricdiger died shortly before Katharina was born. As he lay dieing he begged Jacob to marry Elizabeth and look after his little family. Elizabeth did harry Jacob.

Elizabeth Epp came from a very large family. Her father married four times. Thefirstwife was|a maiden and they had children, Elizabeth being the oldest.
