Collections: | Winnipeg Tribune fonds Landmarks, Monuments & Built Heritage of the West |
Description: | Three Winnipeg Tribune newsclippings published 8 May, 12 July, and 20 July 1965. The first was written by Theodore Matoff, assistant professor of architecture at the University of Manitoba and is part of a series critiquing archictrure in Winnipeg. In this article, he criticizes the lack of integration of landscape design into overall design of structures. The second article deals with the sale of the Wheat Pool Building to an undisclosed buyer. The third article deals with city council's call for annual inspection of all city buildings after Pritchard Pool was unexpectedly shut down for being unsafe. |
