c) Sigriour, married James 1-1. Page of Hnausa where they first lived. They now reside in Winnipeg and have seven children. Jonina, James, Dorothy, Roy, irene, Gordon and Arnold.

d) Guén‘in Sigri‘in married Sveinhjom Anciew son (See Anderson’s story}.

Jon lost his wife Sigrfin and on May 24, 1908 he married his second wife, Valgerour Josepsdotiir Schram, born April 7, 1885 at Akra, North Dakota. Jon was interested in community affairs. He was councillor for ward 2 for three years (1911—1913}, a member of the Baendafélag and its secretary for a few years. While Jon was away fish-freighting and threshing, it was Valgerour who looked after the home and children. This task she performed ably, when the need arose, with the help of the older children. Jon passed away September 10, 1948. Valgerour resides in Ar“ borg, was for many years at the Sunrise Lodge and, at the age of 97 years, is now in Arborg Care Home. Valgerour and Jon had six children:

a) Jonas (See Jonas and Maria Nordal’s story}

b) Gudmundur Edward, born July 13, 1911. He married Hermania Blanche Benjaminsddttir. Mundi served with the R.C.A.F. from 19404945. He worked as a civil servant from 1957 to his retire— ment in 1976. He and Hermania reside in Win- nipeg, Manitoba.

c) Einar — (See Sigurour Kristinnson story).

cl) Kristin Elin Nordal, born August 9, 1916. Married Bjorn Oliver 1937. Divorced. They had two children: a} Baldur Bernard, married Dora Vigfusson in 1960. Divorced and had a son. War~ ren Garth. Baldur remarried, Marilyn. They have two children, Andrew Bernard and Michael Lorne, and reside in Vancouver, B.C.; b) Bjorn Terrance, married Darlene Nagy, divorced and had one child, Leon Louis. Bjorn married Mary Ginter and they reside in Calgary, Alberta.

Kristin Eiin remarried Bjorn Sigvaldason of Ar— borg. He adopted Baldur Bernard and Bjorn Ter- rance and they go by the name of Sigvaldason. Bjorn passad away in 1961. He and Kristin had two children: a) Vivian Gaii married to Dean Lee Nagy. They have three children, Lee, Dale, Daryle and reside in Preddiss, Alberta; b) Lorne Bjorn married to Leslie Goodman. They; reside in Win~ nipeg, Manitoba. Kristin Elin's third husband is Frank Johnson and they reside in Arborg, Manitoba.

2} Johanna Sigridur, born January 25, 1919. Registered nurse, trained at Winnipeg General Hospital. She married Cecil Melaille Couves, 61 Cardiac surgeon. They reside in Kelowna, BC. and have five children.

i) Colleen Arm married to Geoffrey Hubert Sillence. Reside in Edmonton and have two sons, Darian Geoffrey and Travis.

ii) Dianne Marie, an actress, resides in Chicago.

iii) Ronald William married to Pamela Doreen Elliot. They reside in Edmonton, Alberta and have two children, Benjamin Elliott and Amy Colleen.

iv) Brian Mitchell married to Helen Fenian. They reside in St. John’s, Newfoundland.

v) Brent Ashley resides in Jasper, Alberta.

f) Florence Margaret, born September 23, 1920, died September 30, 1955. She married John Alexander Henry. He died September 30, 1955. They had two children:

i) James Ashley. married to Nancy Louise Bullock. They reside in Kelowna, BC. and have one daughter.

ii) Susan Jane, married to Bruce Eldon Gud- mundson. They reside in Winnipeg, Manitoba and have one son, Stefan Bruce.
