Description: | Colour photo of the interior of the bell tower of St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Mountain Road, Manitoba. St. Mary's, an all wood church, was the first built by Fr. Philip Ruh, OMI, in Manitoba. It was constructed under the guidance of Fr. Ruh, mainly by volunteers, within eleven months, between 1924 to 1925. It was struck by lightning and burned to the ground in 1966. The bell tower survived the fire, intact. |
