A photograph of Mrs. Vito Cianci (R), a sculptor orginally from Winnipeg. Her maiden name was Eryl Edwards. Her daughter, Deryn Jane Cianci (L), is standing next to her. The photograph was published in the Winnipeg Tribune on August 6, 1953, on page 14. The caption for the photograph mentions they are living in Powell River, B.C. Mrs. Cianci is about to embark on studying sculpture at a London school. In this photograph Mrs. Cianci is holding a sculpture of the head of a fellow classmate named Pearl Sarnoff. Deryn Jane Cianci is holding a comic masque. Her twelfth birthday was on August 4, 1953. Mrs. Cianci's parents, Mr. and Mrs. I.C. Edwards, were Winnipeg residents, and Mrs. Cianci and her daughter were visiting them while in Winnipeg. The accompanying article for this photograph was entitled: "Eryl Cianci Here on Way Abroad to Study Sculpture." There is a second photo published along with the aforementioned photograph and article.
