Title: | Newsclipping - "Accolade for St. Boniface Centre: Two buildings that 'really belong'" |
Collections: | Winnipeg Tribune fonds Landmarks, Monuments & Built Heritage of the West |
Description: | A newsclipping from a December 1964 edition of the Winnipeg Tribune by Theodore Matoff, associate professor in the faculty of Architecture at the University of Manitoba. He praises the recent work of architect Etienne Gaboury in the design of the St. Boniface Civic Centre, which was composed of the Health Centre building and the Police Department and Courts building. There is some criticism of the latter building, but it seems to largely place the blame on the clients for shortchanging the design budget. |
